Jodi is a typical busy working mom of 2 girls – Taylor and Phoebe. She’s married to Murphy and not only takes care of her girls and Murphy, but they’ve rescued 2 boxers who are like her children, too (along with a slew of other foster dogs)!
Jodi loves to share her favorite finds whether it’s a new book she’s reading, the perfect recipe or some cute shoes! You’ll hear Jodi talking about her touching and funny family stories. She’s also the voice for women and everything Hollywood on the show. Most importantly Jodi juggles Sam’s craziness and her husband Murphy’s idiosyncrasies every morning!
When Jodi’s not working you can find her in the carpool line, working out or training for her next race! She also loves spending time with her family.
I love listening to you guys in the mornings on my way to college.. way better than any other radio station…
You guys are so much fun to listen to, I really enjoy your show!!
this morning conversation was the list of passwords everyone uses and how silly they are and uncreative. i totally agree. the question was asked, “why dragon and monkey were on the top 10 list?” it is because of the chinese calendar, but that is really funny…..just a thought!
I have just recently moved here, it is a pleasure to listen to you in the mornings…. You 3 have given me a lot of info and laughs.. keep up the good work.
I would like to help with your animal pet project, but having a problem with my computer filling out info. Is there anyway you can contat me thru email on what to do???
Thank you for your help
Good Day! I’ve missed Mark in the mornings but have enjoyed your show and at least get to hear Mark on my way home. Welcome. This morning there was a comment about facebook accounts when someone dies. I remembered a clip on the Today Show about a son who killed himself and the parents are beside themselves and wondering what happened when they saw no warning signs. Facebook would not, “due to privacy laws and agreed apon privacy with it’s users”, give the parents access to his page. They were hoping to get answers from his site that might explain, “why”. The father is a lawyer and knows the system better than someone like myself and is fighting to get access. I hope he wins. Someone is always responsible for closing up accounts when someone dies, I believe that with proof of death, an authorized individual should be able to close up a facebook account. Have facebook put out a notice that the individual passed away, maybe post his or her obit but not allow further replys to the account and eventually close the site. Not sure about releasing the content on the site but I feel for those parents and think they should be allowed some answers. Food for thought.
Oh, I’m 45 and don’t have a Facebook account. I don’t like the thought of others reading my comments and really don’t have anything worth while to post, besides, not everyone has that much time or desire. Though it was useful for my husband when he was organizing his 30 year high school class reunion and was trying to locate people.
Have a Good Day!
Some places you may find insects. Have you tried under leaves or old fallen logs or branches? Try to find an area where there is woods and look for them there. Another way to kill them is put them in a jar with some paper towels with finger nail polish on it, not soaking though. My husband and boys used to collect insects when they were young. We still have our insect collection from then. My husband is an entomologist so that helped. Good luck!

Hey Jodi. Heard you talking about the new “little” pet y’all got. Thought you might be interested to know that owning a pet turtle with a shell smaller than 4″ is illegal. I saw a link today on yahoo.com/healthy-living about a huge salmonella outbreak because of pet turtles. I have two kids too, a 10 year old autistic son, and a 11 year old daughter. Mother-to-mother, I’d hate for one of your girls to get sick. It’s just not worth it when there are so many other choices for a pet. Love you guys, listen to you every morning!
I heard you discussing a book about the changes over time to Christmas (ex. no animals in the manger). What was the name of the book that you were referring to?
Jodi, I can’t find your tip list. Where do I find it?
Thanks,
Here ya go! http://murphysamandjodi.com/?p=16399

Love! Love! Love ya’ll!! 96.1 radio station always stays on in the car and work and home!! I have grown so fondly of Jodi! She is so real and true to everything. Just by listening to her, makes you feel as if you are one of her besties and can relate to almost everything she talks about. Being a parent, and listening to her talk about her kids on the air, its so refreshing and comforting, just a sweet home town, next door neighbor whom I have grown to love and can’t wait to hear what she has to talk about next. Thanks for being just “You” Jodi!! Please don’t ever change!!!
