Tastes horrid! It has the consistency of toffee and tastes nothing like brownie, but instead a sicky-sweet chocolate. I would not recommend it to anyone…unless I wanted to induce vomitting…lol!
It is not that bad, much unlike what Jack said. Try experimenting and change the water for milk. this will give you a much rich cupcake.
Also, it will be a “sticky-sweet” cupcake if it is not done properly. If you think it is bad, just shove it in the microwave and do another 1:40
I tried this about a month ago and it has become a staple dessert item in my house. Now my kids make them when friends come over and I ended up printing out copies to give people. (At the very least, I KNOW what is in this as opposed to store bought singles.)
Couple of tips. Mix the dry ingredients well before adding any liquids and make sure you mix it really well! Make sure the mug is the type that does not heat up as that will absorb a lot of the energy and undercook the brownie. The brownie flavor is semi-sweet, so you MUST eat it with ice cream, preferably french vanilla.
I don’t know what you people are talking about. Mine was absolutely delicious. I’ve made it more than once. Sometimes I use hot cocoa instead of cocoa powder, and that makes it super sweet. If you’re going to do that, make sure you’re going to split it with someone.
You have to give it a couple of tries. I’ve been making them everyday when I come home from school. Practice makes perfect! Substitute milk for water and coco powder for hot chocolate
In the interest of not making more dirty dishes than necessary 1/4 cup = 4Tbs. I cut back the sugar to 3 Tbs and used canola oil because I think olive oil would be gross in this dish. It worked for me but the mix was not watery like the picture it was quite thick. I used very dark cocoa which I think helped. In future probably 1 minute in the microwave would suffice.

Mine turned out great. Not at all toffee-ish or muffin-ish. The best part is that it’s non dairy.
You have to let it dry because my bros turned out watery and ice creamy. EWWWW!!!! Freakin gross! But mine turned out terrific!
I really liked it, but i used butter instead of oil. And that tasted much better
mine was delicious. i made 3 and ate them all. i think i may make another

It did not work for me… It just turned out all watery…
not to bad, it’s the best “in a cup” I’ve tried. Next time I’ll use coffee instead of water.

I used Green&Blacks cocoa, vegetable oil (no olive oil in my house annoyingly) and added Cadburies chocolate chips. Turned out amazing!!
