No radio at work. On the way in this morning I heard that someone recommend ballroom dancing to Sam for a way to meet ladies. Even if he doesn’t want to meet ladies at this time, social ballroom dancing is a great way to exercise and a way to learn and/or polish skill for the dance floor. We meet in the basement in the fellowship hall of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of Lexington Avenue and Cook Road in Mansfield. Our dance instructor, Carolyn Gerber-Gantzler,does a great job teaching and leading us through the dance steps (nothing like Dancing with the Stars though and if you are looking for that you will be disappointed). Both couples and singles are welcome to attend. We dance on Tuesdays ($6) and Thursdays ($5) from 6-7 pm. Carolyn will teach one dance; i.e., Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Cha-Cha, East Coast and West Coast Swing (just to name a few)for three weeks each. Currently being taught is Tango on Thursdays and East Coast Swing on Tuesdays (no class on March 8th)and we have one more week of each before we switch to another dance. It is great fun. I hope all of you will consider “checking us out” as we are welcoming new dancers nearly every week. Remember, you don’t have to have a partner…just have fun! Jody just wondered where you are from. That is some major accent you have. Reply MSJ Admin on January 23, 2018 at 5:09 pm We are based out of Louisiana 🙂 Reply Denise on May 23, 2016 at 6:09 pm Jodi, I noticed that today May 23rd, you Sam and Murphy were not on the morning show. Did they “do away” with you. I know this often happens in radio. I used to have a favorite morning show out of Pittsburgh years ago. He was here today and gone tomorrow. By chance I found an email address for him and he said they just come in and told him to clean out his desk. I hope this didn’t happen to all of you. Reply MSJ Admin on May 24, 2016 at 11:38 am Denise, Station management decided to make a change in the mornings :o( But you can download our free app to listen to the show or listen to us streaming here on our website! Thank you for asking, Producer Emilie Reply Rhonda Dickerson on July 21, 2016 at 11:19 pm Hey Jodi I wanted to write to you but it is about Sam. I’m not sure how old he is but he is cute as a button, I understand his frustration with the dating scene. I am a 53 year old (female). I have been divorced since 1989, was in one relationship after that for 15 years that ended in 2008. I have not dated since because all I meet are crazy people. I work at a bonding company full time and another full time job at an attorneys office, I don’t meet any good ones. I am a home body that likes to watch movies and just chill at home. I listen to your show in the morning on the way to work between 730am and 8am. I love listening to you all. Just wanted to share with you and to let Sam know, maybe in the future when we least expect it, we will meet that special person. Reply teresa on November 3, 2016 at 10:39 pm Hello again Jodi. I contacted you previously about researching hair donation for your daughter and now I am butting in again. You said your daughter has been diagnosed wit accessory navicular and is facing surgery. We were in the same spot recently. Based on the recommendation of a local podiatrist we were facing surgery on both feet, possibly at the same time. An other doctor recommended we seek a second opinion from an orthopedic surgeon. We did and to our relief the first thing he said was this is not uncommon and does not necessarily equal surgery. In less than 2 months of wearing off the shelf orthotics and doing specific stretches she is doing so much better. We go back next week to get her custom orthodics and are not considering surgery, at least not in the near future. There is a ton of info available on his website: drnickcheney.com under diagnosis information. I hope this is not intrusive, but is helpful to your family! Reply Chrystal Scott on March 17, 2017 at 12:59 am Jody you are just too precious. You all Crack me up every morning. I’m a big dog lover too. I have 4 rescues. 🙂 Reply Esther on May 5, 2017 at 5:46 pm Jodi, if you still want to grow your nails, just eat jello every day. I did this for a month and my nails were nice and long for my son’s wedding. Reply Christy on April 3, 2018 at 2:03 pm Hi Jodi! I just wanted to say that I saw you in Wal-Mart a couple of months ago. I wanted so badly to say hi to you, but I was to nervous! I have been listening to MS&J for years and I just LOVE everything about the show! I remember when my kids were little, MS&J was the only radio show I could play in the car that was kid friendly. My oldest is an adult now, no longer rides in my car, and I’m still listening! Thank you for being an inspiration to so many people! Reply Brian from N.J on April 10, 2018 at 10:08 pm Hi Jodi, I’m a new listener thru I❤️Radio and really enjoy the show. Heard you discussing the book you just read Kristin hannah’s The Nightingale. I read it also and loved the book. Here’s another recommendation for you…Us by David Nicholls. It’s another novel in the Nicholas Sparks genre but a bit darker and more face paced. I think you will like it. Keep up the great show and I will continue to listen.
