Iced Coffee Slush
3 cups hot, strong brewed coffee
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups milk
2 cups half-and-half cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a freezer-safe bowl, stir coffee and sugar; until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Add the milk, cream and vanilla; freeze. Remove from the freezer several hours before serving. Chop mixture until slushy; serve immediately.

Purple Cow smoothie
1/2 cup grape soda
2 cups vanilla ice cream
10 cubes ice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
milk

In a blender, combine grape soda, ice cream, ice cubes and vanilla. Blend until smooth. If mixture is too thick, add milk until desired consistency is achieved. Pour into glasses and serve.

Mint Shake
2 scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream
milk

Swirl chocolate syrup in glass and pour ice cream shake into it!

Orange Cream Slush
8 cups orange juice
8 scoops vanilla ice cream
8 orange slices (optional)

Pour orange juice into 2 qt. freezer container; cover and freeze for 2 hours or until slushy, stirring twice.  To serve, pour slush into eight glasses.  Add a scoop of ice cream to each glass.  Garnish with orange slices if desired.

Summer Chillin’ Punch
1 large can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 can frozen banana daiquiri mix
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 liter ginger ale
1 5th bottle whiskey, or to taste (use cola for the family friendly version!)
Lemonade Ice Ring, recipe follows

In a large punch bowl, combine orange juice concentrate, banana daiquiri mix and lemon juice. Stir to blend. Slowly add ginger ale. Remove excess foam with a spoon and stir in Southern Comfort. Add lemonade ice ring.

Lemonade Ice Ring:
2 lemons, sliced round
1 orange, sliced round
2 limes, sliced round
1 small jar maraschino cherries
1 quart lemonade
1 sprig mint, optional

In a round mold, place some sliced lemons, oranges and lime rings in the bottom. Place cherries in the center of the orange rings. Slowly add lemonade just to cover. Freeze. Remove mold from freezer and add more fruit and mint leaves. Slowly fill with lemonade and freeze again. Place frozen ice ring in punch.
