We were so excited when news broke on Tuesday (Feb. 28) that Lady Gaga would replace Beyonce at Coachella in April after the Single Ladies singer had to drop out due to her far along pregnancy?
But according to a new reports, Gaga had some stiff competition. Festival organizers were scrambling to fill Queen Bey’s spot with another major pop artist, and approached Adele, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, and Nine Inch Nails BEFORE Mother Monster.
All of this set aside, Gaga will become the first woman to headline the festival since Björk in 2007. And hat’s something to celebrate.
