  • Jodi lent Producer Emilie a book – “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed.  I’m loving the book.  The parts about how her mom died are hard for me to read, but also therapeutic.

This kid’s book has shot to the top of the best-seller list because it’s putting kids to sleep! What a great gift for new parents ;o) –> The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep

Listener Gayle said we should read “Ink and Bone” by Rachel Caine!  Here’s what she says about the book, “Plot surrounds idea of a dystopian world run by The Library. This library does not allow people to own books and represses such ideas as the printing press. Told from the viewpoint of young people trying for jobs within the library. Could not put it down.”

Not so scary Steven King books, a great 7 book series “The Gunslingers” First book is short and quick read. Plus on this series there is “pre” book called “The Dragon’s Eye”. These books are great in that they reference many other Stephen King books, like The Stand and Salem’s Lot

Jodi: For your Not So Serious Book Club – brand new fantasy book out by Rachel Caine called The Ink and the Bone. Young adult novel, well written, good plot and characters. Appears to be the start of a new series for this author. Plot surrounds idea of a dystopian world run by The Library. This library does not allow people to own books and represses such ideas a the printing press. Told from the viewpoint of young people trying for jobs within the library. Could not put it down.

I listen to your show every morning. I often look up and read the books you mention in your book club. I wanted to write in about a book I just read. Fallen for Glory by Roni Eastman. Absolutely loved this book. A must read.

I’ve read that book also. One of my favorites. Can’t wait for the next one.
