I CANT TELL THE DIFFERENCE. HOW BIG DO THOSE GET. JODI, ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE THIN PIECE OF SKIN UNDER THEIR THROAT THAT YOU DONT LIKE. MY MOTHER USED TO SAY WHEN THEY SEEN A GECKO, THEY WOULD SAY, SHOW ME YOUR BLANKET LITTLE LIZARD, SHOW ME YOUR BLANKET LITTLE LIZARD. AND OF COURSE THEY WILL DROP IT AS A DEFENSE MECHANISM. ITS USUALLY A BRIGHT COLOR TO RUN PREDITORS.

Hey Jodi, Murphy’s right to suggest not holding them while you’re in the kitchen. Reptiles (and birds) can easily transmit salmonella through their feces. You don’t want to get salmonella in your food – that’s real bad!! Good luck with the baby beardies!

I notice that your daughter is a fingernail biter. Be sure to remind her that she could get very sick if she bites her nails after handling the dragons without washing her hands first. These creatures are adorable pets, but they still walk around in their own crap just like chickens do…Just an friendly FYI. I’m a nail biter too.
