Livi’s ‘Happy Heart Kits’

Kids show us the way!!!  Jodi’s Good Thing story today highlights this 3rd grade sweetheart, Livi.  She’s been worried about children in shelters after hurricanes – here’s what she’s DOING for them.

(Listen to our full interview with Livi starting at 19:13 minutes into the show podcast below)

Livi has a huge heart and has been running a campaign to help the kids affected by Hurricane Harvey. She has been putting together what she is calling Happy Heart Kits. She started this with her own personal things from home. It is a backpack with a coloring book, crayons, 2 reading books, a small toy and a stuffed animal. Her goal is at least 100 bags.

You can read all about it at Livi’s Happy Hearts on GoFundMe. And while you’re there, feel free to make a donation: Livi’s Happy Hearts for Harvey Kids.

Hello my name is Kristy Stiefel and I am a teacher at INVEST COLLEGIATE Imagine Charter School in Asheville. We have a World Changers club in Middle school that focuses on the United Nations 17 sustainable goals. We heard about Livi on the radio and wanted to help her immediately!

We would like to fundraise all the materials that Livi needs for her bags.
We were wondering how we can contact her parents and ask what she needs and how we can help her out further to complete her goal of 100 bags.

We hope that you could consider our request. We are very excited to be apart of this!!
