Producer Emilie’s homemade baked french fries

Baking potatoes (I use 1 one potato for 2 people)
Olive Oil
Crushed Red Pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash off each potato or scrub with a brush if you have one.  Then chop off the ends of the potato because if you have really skinny ends on the fries they may burn.  Then stand the potato on one flat end and cut in half.  Sometimes I cut each half in half again, so the fries aren’t too thick.  Then slice up into fry size pieces.  Spray your baking pan with non stick spray.  Put potatoes on the pan and drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle crushed red pepper and salt over them and toss well.  Place in oven to bake for 15 minutes.  Then take them out and flip them over and bake another 10-15 minutes.  Mike and I like ours crispy, so sometimes I bake them a little longer and it depends on how big your fries are.

Note: Do not crowd the pan with fries or they won’t crisp up.
