Producer Emilie’s Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers

I found this recipe on Eat, Live, Run and did a few tweaks.

Pictured above is Jake enjoying his burger.  This is one of his fave meals!

(makes 4 burgers)
1 lb ground turkey
1 egg, slightly beaten
5 oz frozen spinach (about half of a bag), defrosted {I hate messing with frozen spinach, so I use fresh spinach and just rip the stems off and then rip it into pieces}
3/4 cup feta cheese {I use 1 cup b/c that’s the size of the container I buy!}
1 tsp salt + pinch of pepper {I use Creole Seasoning and Garlic Powder}

Mix together all ingredients with your hands and form four medium sized patties. Cook patties in a greased skillet for about 6 minutes per side, or until meat is completely cooked. Serve on toasted buns with extra feta, hot sauce, sliced onion, lettuce and ketchup and mustard.

I don’t serve these burgers on buns.  I serve with sauteed onions and mushrooms on top and some sort of a side….fries, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes…and a green salad {I mean, I did just buy a bag of spinach to make the burgers!}.
