My favorite ornament is on ornament I received the day after my son was born on Christmas Day. It was a baby’s first Christmas ornament with the year on it and I had just seen it at a Dillards two days earlier. I dearly wanted this ornament but could not purchase it in time because I was in the hospital giving birth. No one knew how much I wanted this ornament. The day after Christmas, I found a gift on my hospital bed that contained that ornament. It was from the nursing staff. I am still amazed to this day.

My favorite tree ornament is still on my parents tree.

When I was in kindergarten (a few *cough* years ago) our teacher took pictures of each student singing “ooooh” like an angel would. Of course these were black and white photos – and she cut just our heads out and glued them to the wider side of an old wooden sherbet spoon.

Shen then added a dark blue inverted cone for a robe, two little strips of red paper at our neck area for a collar, and some white pipe cleaner arms holding a little hymnal.

My folks still put this one out every year and it’s always special to go see it at their house at Christmas.

BONUS! I had fallen down and landed on my head on a sidewalk just days before the picture was taken so I have a huge raspberry on my forehead. I didn’t know angels could get bumps and bruises… 🙂

One year my Father decided he wanted to buy each of his four grown children a special ornament for our trees. Mine is a lighted ball with a train circling thru a partial tunnel and around a little decorated village. This is my very favorite ornament. We lost our Father in 2005 and are so grateful he thought to give us each an ornament to always have near at Christmas.
